Help and answers.

The questions people ask first, answered with what CAMPPS does today. If yours is not here, the last section says how to reach us.

Signing in

How do I sign in?

Choose Sign in at the top of this page. CAMPPS takes you to its sign-in page, and when you are signed in it opens the home for your job at camp.

The sign-in did not work. What now?

The screen says “We couldn’t sign you in” and shows a reference. Choose Try again. If it keeps happening, contact your camp and give them the reference. Parents reach your camp office first. CAMPPS help is for trouble signing in or paying.

Registering a camper

How does a family register a camper?

Choose a session on the camp’s page and register each camper who is coming from your family account. Registration has three steps: Who’s coming, Consent, and Review and pay.

We belong to a troop or group. How do we register?

The troop’s or group’s leader signs it up for a session and sends families a registration link. Register from that link so your camper joins the group; each family pays for its own camper.

The parent consent card check

Why does CAMPPS ask for consent and a card check?

For a camper under 13, U.S. law asks a parent to agree, once, before the camp keeps anything about the child. You read the camp’s privacy notice, tick the consent box, and confirm it is you with a small card check that is refunded.

Is the card check part of the camp fee?

No. The check is not part of the camp fee.

What if the card check does not go through?

The page says so and offers Try again. If the card check is unavailable for a moment, nothing is charged.

Paying

What do I pay when I register, and when?

The Review and pay step shows the deposit, the CAMPPS platform fee and when the balance is due before anything is charged. A family pays a deposit or the whole fee; the places are held for 15 minutes while you pay.

I am registering more than one camper. Do I pay once?

Each camper is paid for on their own, with their own Pay button. After one payment, the confirmation offers the next camper whose place is still held.

What if the hold runs out before I pay?

The page says so plainly and shows how to hold the place again.

Getting your camp ready to publish

What does "ready to publish" mean?

You set your camp up yourself, and nothing is public until you publish. Readiness lists what would stop you publishing, each item linked to the step that fixes it. Publish opens when the last blocker is fixed.

Which items stop me from publishing?

Items marked “Blocks publishing” must be fixed first. Items worth fixing and optional items are listed on the readiness page, and neither stops you publishing.

Can I take a published camp back?

You can close registration later, but you can’t unpublish once a family has registered.

Contacting support

How do I reach CAMPPS support?

Email support@campps.com. We aim to answer within one business day, Monday to Friday. There is no phone line.

Is CAMPPS down?

The CAMPPS status page shows whether the public site, the app, sign-in, registration and payments are working, when each last changed, and a note from CAMPPS when there is one.

What can CAMPPS support see?

CAMPPS support looks at your camp’s setup status and error codes when you ask for help, and may also check during an outage or before registration opens. Every look is recorded, and support changes nothing. Support never sees a child’s name, anyone’s contact details, health forms or payment details.
